History - Everil Orr
The Everil Orr site has been a prominent landmark in Mt Albert for many decades, providing care and accommodation to the elderly, and is named after the Reverend Everil Orr. In 1933, Rev. Orr began a ministry at the Auckland Methodist Central Mission which lasted 39 years. A man of exceptional vision, faith and business acumen, he lead the Central Mission to undertake a substantial building programme.
An authority in aged care, many of the original buildings erected during his tenure were to create a retirement community and the new Everil Orr Living development is acknowledgement that there will be a retirement community at Allendale Road, Mt Albert for generations to come.
Airedale Property Trust (APT) is a registered Charitable Trust related to Methodist Mission Northern (MMN). All profits generated by APT go towards supporting the social programmes of Lifewise Trust and MMN.
Everil Orr Living is owned and managed by Airedale Property Trust (APT), which is the kaitiakitanga of the investment assets of Methodist Mission Northern (MMN).
Following years of tireless service, the village has been recently redeveloped to be fit-for-purpose and future-proof. Through excellence in design, the redeveloped site is enhancing and enriching the neighbourhood and community.
With stages one and two operating as luxury independent living apartments and recreational facilities, stage three is now ready to present to the market with a brand-new bespoke care building and eight luxury penthouse apartments with extensive elevated views.
